A TEAM OF ANTI-CORONA TASK FORCE NAGAR VISITED ASTOR

ASTOR: Astor is one of the 10th districts of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The region is bounded to the west by Diamer District, to the north by Gilgit District, to the East by Skardu District and to the South by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Neelum District of Azad Kashmir.

In the recent wave of the epidemic, the district is severely striking with a high number of infected cases in the region. The local health department, with limited stock and capability, is working hard but is insufficient for the growing number of cases in the valley.

A delegation of Anti Corona Task Force Nagar visited Astor when the valley is profoundly struck by Coronavirus and served the locals with a stock of medicines and safety masks, as a kind gesture in the region. During the visit, the delegation also met the local administration and people by encouraging them to fight against the contagious diseases through social distancing and staying home. According to our news team, the locals regarded the timely help from District Nagar and appreciated the act as an example of the unity in Gilgit-Baltistan.
