MISGUIDANCE ABOUT YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AND EMPOWERMENT IN GB

YOUTH is the backbone of a nation to drive and lead in real-time space wherein youth engagement and development have been ranked a catalytic source for any progression. But the question is, what sources are there to utilize and empower a creative mindset among the youngsters. Sure, it is the provision of quality education, proper counseling, and guidance, protecting them from harmful environments and mental and physical fitness. According to the ecological perspective of human development, young people are the fundamentals of any development. Mostly, youth are passive recipients of external influences; instead, they are actively involved in shaping their development by interacting with the people and opportunities made available within their environments.

If we talk about the youth development and empowerment programs in Gilgit-Baltistan, there is a planning scarcity between government and youth. Proudly, the youngsters are engaged with "music" and "dance" as a local culture at the party or marriage ceremony. Yes, of course, this approach always left negative footprints on new generations. They start to believe the specific cultural practices are as necessary as their beliefs that ultimately deviates them from positive youth development to the fun only. It is witnessed that a series of winter games have started all over Gilgit-Baltistan. Undoubtedly, physical exercise is necessary for a healthy life, but the objection is giving sports the prime level over the basic demands for today's youth. It doesn't make sense that people are motivated to courage few on the cost of hundreds of thousands, who are clapping hands and raising slogans, in the play ground. Rather to engage the masses into different creativities and learning skills and made them able to earn. Neither they are engaged with the smart businesses nor skilled based knowledge honestly an ordinary person has very concerns with health, education, and jobs but not Olympics.
